Located in Erdene soum of Tov Province along the Tuul River, Tsonjin Boldog is one of Mongolia’s most important historical landmarks and a major modern tourism complex. It is home to the world’s largest equestrian statue of Chinggis Khan, standing as a powerful symbol of Mongolian heritage and pride.
The monument, including its base structure, reaches a total height of 40 meters. The entire complex covers an area of 212 hectares. Visitors can enter through the horse’s legs and take an elevator up to the viewing area inside the statue’s head. There, a short documentary film is shown about the construction and significance of the monument.
From the observation platform located on the horse’s mane, visitors can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. On clear days, it is possible to see historically significant sites such as Burkhan Khaldun Mountain, Deluun Boldog, and Khodoo Aral, all closely associated with Chinggis Khan’s life and legacy.
The circular base structure of the complex is supported by 36 columns, symbolizing the 36 Khagans of the Golden Lineage of Chinggis Khan. Inside the building are an art gallery, a museum featuring Hunnu-era artifacts, a restaurant, conference halls, meeting rooms, a billiard room, and souvenir shops.
