Location and Geography

Ulaanbaatar city is located in the Central Asian continental climate zone, at coordinates approximately 47°55' north latitude and 106°55' east longitude, with an average elevation of about 1,500 meters above sea level. It is surrounded by four mountains: Chingeltei Mountain to the north, Bogd Khan Mountain to the south, Bayanzurkh Mountain to the east, and Songino Mountains to the west.
